Legend: Benzoin, also known as gum Benjamin, is one of the classic ingredients of incense. In ancient civilisations and the middle ages, Benzoin known then as Friar’s Balsam, was used to drive out evil spirits, especially when combined with Myrrh and Frankincense.

Directions: There are many ways to use essential oils, such as burning them in an oil burner, but remember never apply neat to the skin unless it has been mixed with a carrier oil such as jojoba first. If you are finding the oil hard to get out of the bottle because of it’s thickness, you can warm the oil by standing it in warm water, or take off the dripulator temporarily, extract the oil and replace the dripulator.
